Triple AI at Africa Business School

Interviewed by Reda Benkirane (Chair of Complexities∞Humanities at the UM6P campus in Benguerir, February 14th, 2024. In this conversation, we had the opportunity to speak with Shima Beigi, a complexity scientist who specialises in urban systems thinking. We discussed her academic background in complexity science, her research work at the Center Leo Apostel at VUB, and the influential thinkers that have shaped her work, such as James Gleick and Ilya Prigogine. Additionally, we explored her ideas about the importance of integrating a threefold framework of Artificial Intelligence to make our cities more resilient. Lastly, we focused on her reinterpretation of Attar's mystical masterpiece, Mantiq at-Tayar (the Conference of the Birds), which she has adapted for a contemporary audience.
